History and Background

The Mojoh Method is not a randomly cobbled together selection of exercises.  The method and exercises have all been carefully researched, practiced and refined through many years of competitive athletics and coaching.  I first began putting these routines together in the bygone days before the world wide web.  Why?  Because I had a dream.  A passion and ambition to be the worlds best runner.  Some people like to dance.  Others prefer flower arranging or knitting.  My teenaged passions in life were running, cycling and tennis. I was highly competitive and single-minded as a teenager – often disappearing for 10 hours just to see how far I could cycle.

Before I was 18 yeas old I had climbed Ben Nevis twice, competed in several regional amateur tennis tournaments, and I ran away from home twice to try to reach the Scottish mountains armed with some of my Fathers spare equipment.  I suppose I was bored at school and craved adventure.

Before I was ten years old, I was inspired by my father who had taken me out into the English countryside for long walks, often lasting several days with stopovers at Youth Hostels.  My Fathers ultimate passion in life was walking up Mountains.  He particularly loved the Scottish mountains, and this was no fleeting passion, for in his lifetime he completed all 282 of the famous Scottish Munros.  Not a mean feat!

My Father studied his hobby and invested in some of the best mountaineering equipment of that era – (Silva compass, Brasher boots, Goretex clothing, etc).  He would lead teams of hikers on strenuous mountain walks, researching them and testing them himself before guiding others (sometimes including me) to the summits.

My experience and research has taught me many things and I try to incorporate all of these things into the Mojoh Method.
