What is The Mojoh Method?

What is the Mohoh Method System?

The Mojoh Method is a structured set of Gym & Pilates exercises, techniques, and advice.
It’s easy to learn, practice & improve for athletes of all ability levels.
It contains solid and reliable information, not only for the physical mechanics and techniques, but also for the mental and emotional challenges of pursuing success, from novice personal lifestyle improvement to serious athletic competition.  The Method is a Personal Trainer combined with a Life Coach and Mentor.
It is a comprehensive guide containing all the knowledge and experience that the author wished he had possessed at the age of 17.
It merges golden old-school fundamentals with modern techniques and practices, often referring back to the lean pre-internet days as a reality check. It aims to provide clarity and focus for a younger generation that appears to be drowning in an infinite choice — a generation searching for genuine nuggets of advice amidst an overwhelming abundance of information.
It consists of 8 key sections, 7 of which are dedicated to Gym and Pilates exercises. There’s also an essential section on training fundamentals, including advice on diet, injury prevention, injury recovery, general insights, and the psychology of training. Essentially, everything related to the training and lifestyle of an athlete.

The 8 Sections of the Mojoh Method

  1. FUNDAMENTALS
  2. PILATES (divided into four progressively harder subsections)
  3. BACK & SHOULDERS
  4. BICEPS
  5. TRICEPS
  6. CHEST
  7. ABDOMINALS
  8. LEGS
The method contains advice and anecdotes for young athletes, tips for runners, and routines designed to help sufferers with back pain move forward on a road to self-help and recovery.  One can also find advice on topics such as alcohol consumption, diet, sleep, daily routines, consistency, hard work, and rest periods.  I have been coaching my techniques to eager, younger, and older athletes who crave a better physique or wish to become physically and mentally stronger following the traumatic years of the COVID-19 pandemic.
The Mojoh Method is designed to be highly effective while remaining straightforward to use. It incorporates a variety of techniques and styles. I conduct extensive research and personally practice all the selected exercises, experimenting with different movements, as well as their order and grouping. From this process, I choose the best all-around exercises based on their safety, fitness benefits, and applicability across multiple sports. I believe in the method I promote—the Mojoh Method is part of my daily practice.
Don’t just talk about it, do it!

History and Background

The Method is not a randomly cobbled-together selection of exercises.  The method and exercises have all been carefully researched, practiced, and refined through many years of competitive athletics and coaching.  I first began putting these routines together in the bygone days before the World Wide Web.  Why?  Because I had a dream.  A passion and ambition to be the world’s best runner.  Some people like to dance.  Others prefer flower arranging or knitting.  My teenage passions in life were running, cycling, and tennis. I was highly competitive and single-minded as a teenager – often disappearing for 10 hours to see how far I could cycle.

Before I was 18 years old, I had climbed Ben Nevis twice, competed in several regional amateur tennis tournaments, and run away from home twice to try to reach the Scottish mountains, armed with some of my Father’s spare equipment. I suppose I was bored at school and craved adventure.

Before I was ten years old, I was inspired by my father, who had taken me out into the English countryside for long walks, often lasting several days with stopovers at Youth Hostels.  My Fathers ultimate passion in life was walking up Mountains.  He particularly loved the Scottish mountains, and this was no fleeting passion, for in his lifetime, he completed all 282 of the famous Scottish Munros.  Not a mean feat!   My Father studied his hobby and invested in some of the best mountaineering equipment of that era – (Silva compass, Brasher boots, Gore-Tex clothing, etc.).  He would lead teams of hikers on strenuous mountain walks, researching them and testing them himself before guiding others (sometimes including me) to the summits.

My experience and research, combined with my old-school approach and modern practices, have taught me many valuable lessons. I incorporate all of this into the Mojoh Method.
